This section is something of an experiment. It's our
hope that women and men will find a forum here to discuss their
responses and reactions to TELLING and to talk about the act
of telling in general -- the process of making your true life
visible to others. This could include examples, stories, ideas
or questions about:
- Telling friends, relatives, co-workers about a rape
or assault.
- Introducing the subject of rape into "polite
conversation."
- Being visible as a survivor in the world.
- Books, plays, films which have been helpful to you.
For some suggestions about how to approach the topic
of talking about rape, see the link Help
in Talking About Rape.
All postings to this interactive bulletin board are
screened. Some may be edited. From time to time I will also use
this space to pass along information or ideas or stories that
have come my way. Watch the I-get-to-tell box for those entries.
Also, please see our links
page, which lists other sites where women and men can interact
by sharing information, thoughts, feelings, poetry, etc.
