As a survivor of date rape and childhood sexual assault myself, and as someone who loves a person who was raped by a stranger, I found your book a way to reexamine my own assumptions and fears about rape and more importantly, healing. I am a new child and family therapist, and am very interested in concepts of healing and how that happens. Your book helped me along in my own healing, especially the parts about resistance to fear and the importance of including one's body in healing, as well as giving me insight professionally. And, you moved me in ways I haven't felt moved by literature since reading Annie Roger's A Shining Affliction. Thank you so very much.
